Message From CEO

Stepping into 70 Years of Sustainability Shaping the Future of the Natural Rubber Industry through ESG

The year 2024 marks a significant milestone for Teck Bee Hang Co., Ltd., as we celebrate 70 years of business operations. Over the decades, we have journeyed from a small natural rubber processing plant to become one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of natural rubber. This success has been driven by our steadfast commitment to quality, technological development, and sustainable business practices.

Over the past seven decades, the company has integrated ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles into its operations. In today’s sustainability-driven world, business must not only address economic performance but also fulfill responsibilities toward the environment, society, and all stakeholders. Teck Bee Hang Co., Ltd. has incorporated the concept of Double Materiality into its strategy and sustainability reporting processes. This approach considers both the impacts the company has on the environment and society (Impact Materiality), such as greenhouse gas emissions, natural resource usage, and community engagement, and the impacts these factors have on the organization in terms of financial performance and business continuity (Financial Materiality), including climate change risks, customer expectations, and regulatory developments.

To ensure credible and internationally aligned evaluation and management of material issues, we follow the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), while also applying Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) principles to comprehensively assess social, economic, and environmental impacts.

Environmental Leadership

Teck Bee Hang Co., Ltd. recognizes the environmental impacts of the natural rubber industry and is committed to minimizing them through sustainable operations. We focus on tangible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, targeting a 63% reduction by 2035, achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and reaching net-zero emissions by 2065.

In addition, the company prioritizes clean energy and energy efficiency initiatives. Solar rooftop projects have been implemented at our Yala and Narathiwat plants, and a biomass furnace at Narathiwat has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared to conventional LPG systems.

To further enhance environmental responsibility, we have developed efficient water and waste management systems to minimize community impacts. For example, a fully enclosed raw rubber storage facility at our Surat Thani plant reduces odor emissions to the surrounding area, reinforcing our mission to operate sustainably while protecting the environment.

Building Strong and Inclusive Communities (Social)

Our business is guided by universal human rights principles, good corporate governance, and social responsibility. We promote diversity, equity, and stakeholder engagement, believing that human rights are the foundation of sustainability. Accordingly, we focus on comprehensive employee care, transparent supply chain management, and fostering strong, long-lasting relationships with local communities.

Employees, communities, and suppliers are at the heart of our operations. We emphasize welfare, workplace safety, and continuous skill development to prepare for industry evolution.

In the community dimension, we drive multi-faceted CSR initiatives, including education, quality of life improvement, and environmental restoration. In 2024, our Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, and Thung Song plants were recognized with the CSR-DIW Award by the Department of Industrial Works, demonstrating our commitment to socially responsible business practices.

We are also proud to have been selected as a Human Rights Award 2024, receiving the “Good Level” award for large enterprises in 2024, presented by the Prime Minister, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, and organized by the Department of Rights and Liberties Protection, Ministry of Justice.

In 2025, the company will expand farmer capacity-building programs in collaboration with partners in the tire industry, promoting sustainability across the supply chain.

Strengthening Governance

Teck Bee Hang Co., Ltd. conducts its business in accordance with strong governance principles. We emphasize responsible sourcing through Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification to ensure our natural rubber comes from sustainably managed forests. At the same time, our Traceable Natural Rubber (TNR) program promotes transparency and accountability across the supply chain.

The company also continuously enhances business standards in line with good governance practices, risk management, and business continuity planning. In recognition of these efforts, we received the 22nd Outstanding Corporate Ethics Award from the Thai Chamber of Commerce in 2024 under the concept “Restoring Trust through Ethics,” affirming our commitment to ethical, fair, and stakeholder-oriented operations.

— We sincerely thank all who have been part of this journey. Looking forward, we are committed to advancing under the concept of a “Future and Beyond”, guided by sustainability as our compass, to achieve “Sustainable Natural Rubber” and ensure that “the future of all of us progresses sustainably together.”
